DA premier candidate in the NC Dr Isak Fritz

The Democratic Alliance has announced that their Northern Cape provincial Chairperson Isak Fritz will stand as premier candidate ahead of the much-anticipated elections next yea . The announcement was made by the party leader John Steenhuisen during a media briefing in Kimberley on Wednesday.

Steenhuisen said the DA can win the Northern Cape, and with the help of Isak Fritz and his team, we can bring clean and excellent governance that delivers opportunity for all.

“We are confident that we will win this province in next year's elections because we have seen that South Africans are now tired of all the things that are happening in our country. We have an escalating rate of crime poor service delivery and poor health systems, so only the DA will be able to address this problem because the current government has really failed our communities". Said Steenhuisen

Dr. Fritz who is currently a DA member of the legislature said that his main priorities for fixing the Northern Cape include, ending load shedding and cutting red tape to get the Northern Cape economy working and growing, and fixing the broken health system to provide access to quality healthcare in even the most remote corners of the province.

He further indicated that in the next nine months, he will travel across every corner of the Northern Cape, winning the hearts and votes of communities in towns even in the most far-flung rural areas of this province.

Dr Isak Fritz is a longstanding member of the Democratic Alliance, having been actively involved in the party for nearly three decades. In 2017, Isak was awarded a Diploma in Advanced Governance and Public Leadership from the Wits School of Governance at the University of Witwatersrand.
